Electro-Harmonix Ravish Sitar Emulator Pedal

Very few instruments offer as much harmonic and dynamic flexibility as a sitar. Electro-Harmonix has streamlined the essence of the sitar into a compact enclosure that offers a polyphonic lead voice and tunable sympathetic string drones that dynamically react to your playing. With the Electro-Harmonix Ravish Sitar Emulator, you can create your custom scales for the sympathetic strings while you set the decay time for the lead voice. Two expression pedal inputs allow you to bend the pitch of the lead voice and control the volume of the sympathetic strings simultaneously. These unique controls offer the player the ability to program the Ravish to become a unique and organic instrument unto itself. The Ravish is a truly new design with the flexibility to be a crossover tonal wonder.
Features
Dry level lets you control the volume of the dry signal present at the main output. Lead level lets you control the amount of lead sitar signal at the main output. The sympathetic level controls the amount of sympathetic signal on the main and sympathetic output. Lead Timbre controls the ‘buzz’ or ‘zing’ of the lead tone. Bodysympathetic Timbre controls the ‘buzz’ or ‘zing’ of the sympathetic string tone. The mode and preset encoder has three functions, where you can scroll through presets, save them, and check their different modes. The Pitch EXP lets you plug an optional pedal to bend the pitch of the lead sitar. The Drone EXP lets you plug an optional pedal for manual control of the Ravish’s sympathetic strings. The input jack lets you connect your instrument or another effects pedal. The Bypass footswitch with LED lets you toggle between effect mode and bypass mode. The preset footswitch with LED lets you load a selected preset. When in Key Mode, press and hold the footswitch to custom-tune the Ravish. In modes other than Key Mode, press and hold the footswitch to freeze the sympathetic strings. The main out jack contains the dry, lead sitar, and sympathetic string signals. The sympathetic out jack contains only the sympathetic strings signal and is intended for use with effects or to go with a separate amplifier.
