You can switch from 100mm to 400mm optical zoom or 100mm to 800mm digital zoom with the touch of a button. If the scene still seems too far away, use the step zoom to directly jump to 800mm digital to close the gap even more. Portability

It is compact and lightweight and weighs just over 5 oz. and is impressively compact and comfortable to use, the ZOOM is ideal to take with you almost anywhere. Whether hiking, traveling, at a soccer game, or wherever you go, it’s convenient to carry, easy to use, and fits perfectly in your pocket, backpack or purse, so you can leave those heavier binoculars behind.

High-Definition Picture Quality

The Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) is a 0.39-inch XGA OLED-based display featuring approximately 2.36 million dots and 59.94fps (frames per second) so you get a clear, vivid scene to enjoy whether viewing, taking pictures, or recording video.

Image Stabilization

The built-in optical image stabilization ensures clear, steady views when following moving subjects. The Powered IS helps even subtle shake such as when the user breathes to be corrected, while Dual Sensing IS corrects stronger shake. This is ideal for longer viewing times and when following moving subjects.

Lock Into Subjects

The Autofocus + face tracking (through the Electronic Viewfinder) can keep fast subjects in clear view. The additional Face Tracking feature helps detect and track faces when looking through the electronic viewfinder so you can lock onto a subject and keep it in focus for the duration of your attention, even when there’s fast-moving action.

Canon Zoom Digital Monocular with USB Charger and MicroSD Card (White)

Canon ZOOM Digital Monocular with USB Charger and microSD Card (White) SKU: 4838C018

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Monocular for Viewing Objects in the Distance with a Photo Option I took this to the US Open and was using it to watch golfers on the same hole I was sitting on or the next one over. It is compact and can easily fit in my pocket. Security didn't bat an eye when I entered the tournament. The quality of the viewing was very good with a zoom range of 100 mm to 400 mm optical and 800 mm digital. For an all-day event like a golf tournament the battery life wasn't quite long enough. The first day it ran out of juice, and I had to stop using it. The second day I took the Mophie battery bank that I use for my phone, and it worked with the monocular. This device can take video and photos. It comes with a micro-SD card that was able to store plenty of photos. I did not use the video. It has auto focus point or tracking, and it was rare that I had problems with the focus when looking through the viewer. It took me a little bit to get the hang of taking pictures. The Zoom button is on the top, and the shutter button is on the bottom. You can set the time out, I think the default was 15 seconds. Every time I powered it back on the zoom was at 100 mm so I typically had to adjust it every time. I wish could change the default zoom level. To go from pushing the zoom button on the top then move to the shutter button on the bottom for me wasn't a smooth transition. I had to reposition my hand pretty much every time. When the photo drive was set to one at a time there seemed to be some delay from pushing the shutter to it actually taking the picture. I had to learn to time it to catch the action I wanted, and even with that I missed a lot. It wasn't until afterward that I figured out there was a photo burst option. The more zoom that was used the more shake there was. It does have image stabilization built in which was pretty good. Even with that I had to position it against the bridge of my nose to get the best stabilization when zoomed in to 800mm. The photos were overall fairly good quality. If I cropped them there varying amount of blur issues. I would say the quality of the photos was a step down from my Pixel 8 Pro phone photos. Overall, as a compact device to view things in the distance it is very good. The pictures were adequate but could be better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact Monocular This compact monocular is great for when I don't want to carry larger and heavier DSLRs or my Mirrorless R7 with big/heavy lens. The image quality is average at best and with good lighting. The features are limited with no Raw shooting possible. My other complaint is that it's shoots silently. I never know when I've actually taken the shot, except when I see the image count change. The ease of use is far from good, so much so that I didn't hand the camera to my wife to take my picture after I took hers on the golf course. I was afraid she couldn't figure it out even after explanation, since she is not technical.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome for hiking [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is so great to bring with you on hiking trips. We recently went to Vancouver/Whistler Canada and brought this on our hike and used it to see a bald eagle in the distance. It zooms really well and is lightweight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monocular! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Canon digital monocular a few days ago and it is really cool. The notice is very clear and the menus are very intuitive. It may take a bit of time to master the buttons functionality and where they are when looking in the monocular but you will get used to it. The monocular is great when you are kind of far from the action. We used it for our daughter's dance show, without it, it was difficult to clearly see her but with the monocular no problem. I really like the fact that we can take pictures and movies with the memory card included in the package. I was also very surprised by the picture and video quality The zoom function is very simple. There are only 3 modes but it turns out they are well chosen. I can also tell that the monocular does not leave me when I am going out, there are always some things to spot...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from AN OKAY CAMERA [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to take this ZOOM Digital Monocular when we go on vacations or just walks in general around the home. The thing I like most about this monocular is the zoom features, it does get nice and up-close images. The downside, is the images are okay, not the clearest so I am not sure this would be for professional use. Overall, easy to use and easy to hold onto
