By upgrading to a 1-inch tweeter this monitor series provides an extended frequency range and deliver superb high-resolution sound. Utilizing a thick wave guide designed to minimize vibration the tweeter is able to deliver smooth, distortion-free high end up to 30 kHz. Yamaha engineers have optimized the HS powered monitor and subwoofer monitor system for a variety of music production environments.
