Sekonic L-308X-U Flashmate Light Meter

The Sekonic L-308X-U Flashmate Light Meter is the perfect solution for both accurate and portable light measurement. The L-308X takes accurate measurements of both ambient and reflected light using its sliding lumisphere, with a lens with a 40 degree reception angle. The metering range is very wide; from 0 to 19.9 EV at ISO 100. The meter can also work with flash within f/1.0 to f/90.9 at ISO 100. The Sekonic light meter delivers high repeat accuracy with a <0.1 EV rating on repeat exposures.

Dedicated aperture ring, click/de-click and iris lock switches

An aperture ring provides direct, rapid control. The aperture ring click stops can be turned ON to provide tactile feedback when shooting stills, or OFF for smooth, silent control when shooting movies. There is also an iris lock switch that prevents the aperture ring from being accidentally moved between the [A] and F2.8 ~ F22 settings

Zoom smoothness switch, customizable focus hold buttons

Zoom ring torque can be adjusted via a two-position switch. With the switch in the Tight position the barrel won’t extend unexpectedly during transportation. The Smooth position provides light zoom operation for flexible, responsive shooting while also making it easy to produce smooth slow zoom for movies. Two customizable focus hold buttons are provided for easy access and control when at most any orientation. Alternative functions can be assigned from the camera’s menu.

Dust and moisture resistant design

 An updated dust and moisture resistant design provides extra reliability for outdoor use in challenging conditions. Silicon seals around buttons and switches and a rubber gasket around the lens mount greatly reduce the likelihood of dust and moisture incursion.

Recent improvements to the material and shape of the Alpha 7R IV camera body have also been applied to the VG-C4EM Vertical Grip. Specifically, the grip incorporates improvements to the design of operating buttons which enhance the button pressing sensation, enlargement and optimized location of AF-ON button, and a redesigned multi-selector. The grip is broader, providing more room for the pinky and middle finger, resulting in operational “feel” that matches that of the Alpha 7R IV camera.
