The Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary’s lens construction comprises 16 groups and 22 elements, using one FLD and four SLD elements. The lens elements provide an effective correction of aberrations and distortions. Optimized for mirrorless systems, the lens’ optical design technology ensures high-resolution image quality with edge-to-edge sharpness. The lens’ optics design is specifically designed for a camera with a short flange back distance, combining optical performance with compactness.

Stepping Motor

The Sigma 100-400mm f/5-6.3 DG DN Lens uses a stepping motor system that is optimized for both phase-detection AF and contrast AF. The stepping motor complements your mirrorless camera’s autofocus, making this lens perfect for shooting video or eye-tracking AF for smooth control. This zoom lens allows for amazing optical performance at every focal length from wide to telephoto, and from close-up shots to telephoto photography.

Image Stabilization

In addition to the stepping motor optimized for high-speed and smooth AF, the lens features a built-in powerful, four-step image stabilization (OS). Once combined with a camera body with built-in image stabilization, the lens corrects for pitch and yaw axis rotations achieving amazing stabilization.

Sigma Tele Converter

This lens offers a focal range from 100 to 400mm. When paired with an optional 1.4x and 2x Sigma Tele Converters, you get a super telephoto angle of view with a focal length of up to 800mm. And, don’t worry the lens AF function is effective even with the teleconverter attached.

Additional Functions

The Sigma 100-400mm features an AFL button that allows you to assign select functions on the camera side. It also features a focus limiter switch that helps optimize the AF range for your shooting requirement.

Sigma USB Dock

Designed for use with mirrorless cameras, the Sigma USB Dock (sold separately) allows you to adjust the amount of focus movement when operating the focus ring on exclusive Sigma Optimization Pro software, which allows you to adjust the focus in your preferred timing in MF mode.
