The PRS SE Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Piezo
6-String Right-Handed Electric Guitar in Vintage Sunburst is highly
sophisticated and versatile. A solid body guitar with a maple top, mahogany
back, dual numbers, and the patented PRS tremolo, the Custom 24 is the original
PRS design first introduced in 1985. The 25-inch scale guitar has a maple neck
with multi-ply neck construction, and a 10-inch rosewood fingerboard with 24
frets.
Premium Construction with Comfortable Playability
This semi-hollow version adds natural resonance and a vibrant, organic tone.
The humbuckers in this model are PRS 85/15 ‘S’ pickups, which can be tapped via
the push and pull tone control for more sounds. Adding the LR Baggs and PRS
Piezo system furthers the instrument's versatility by offering electric and
acoustic tones in one guitar. The PRS SE Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Piezo is
designed with two discrete volume controls (magnetics and piezo) and output
jacks (mix and piezo and magnetics). The PRS Patented Tremolo delivers tonal
fidelity, player comfort, and tuning stability. Designed to PRS's
specifications, the lightweight tuners provide precise tuning and will not
dampen your tone. Players can plug into the ‘Mix and Piezo’ jack and use the
individual volume controls to blend the 85/15 ‘S’ pickups with the piezo's
acoustic tones. Alternatively, players can plug into the jacks separately, so
the guitar can run magnetic pickups into an amp and run the piezo through an
acoustic amp or DI into the soundboard. When using the magnetic output jack in
isolation, the piezo battery is bypassed completely, acting as a failsafe (in
this scenario, the magnetic pickups still work even if the piezo battery has
run out of juice). Additional details include a matching headstock veneer,
headstock and fretboard binding, and lampshade knobs. With nearly infinite
tones and roadworthy reliability, the PRS SE Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Piezo is a
modern classic that looks and feels as good as it sounds.
