The Panasonic LUMIX S5IIX features a 24.2MP 35mm full-frame
CMOS sensor that delivers fast and precise phase hybrid autofocus. The camera
features Active Image Stabilization that supports walking shots. It has a
high-resolution imaging engine that offers about 2x higher speed
signal processing for video recording featuring a high bit-rate. It
is perfect for 5.8K Pro-Res, Pro-Res internal, Wireless or Wired IP,
and RAW over HDMI streaming.
Firmware Update
Listening to creators’ needs, S5II Firmware V3.0 and S5IIX Firmware V2.0 deliver efficiency in both production and post-production workflows, providing important time (and therefore cost) saving benefits. The firmware updates improve the shooting experience and enhance sharing functionality - compatibility with Adobe Camera to Cloud (Frame.io) and Proxy video recording; improved basic performance with improved real-time AF recognition system (animal eye, car, and motorcycle recognition); enhanced E.I.S. performance by adding HIGH mode in the E-stabilization (video) and a perspective distortion correction.
