The Gretsch G2420 Streamliner Hollow Body Single-Cut 6-String Right-Handed Electric Guitar with Chromatic II tailpiece is designed for the modern guitarist who yearns for something beyond the norm. A commanding guitar for powerful players, the G2420's modern sonics, updated electronics and authentically elegant style create the latest iteration of That Great Gretsch Sound. It features all-new Broad'Tron BT-3S humbucking pickups. The guitar has a fully hollow arched maple body for rich fullness, deep resonance, and ‘big-body sound’, a soft ‘C’-shaped nato neck, and a 12-inch-radius laurel fingerboard with pearloid Neo Classic thumbnail inlays, real bone nut, and 22 medium jumbo frets. Master volume, master tone, and individual pickup volume controls provide complete tone-shaping flexibility. Other controls include Push and Pull coil-splitting on Master Volume, and radio control knobs. It has an Adjusto-Matic bridge with a secured laurel base, a three-ply tortoise pickguard, nickel hardware, and is available in a Village Amber finish.

The G2420 features our new Broad'Tron BT-3S pickups. Utilizing a combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets, the new BT-3S pickups provide stronger mids, tight but full lows, and smooth clear highs that retain a smooth and musical presence.

The Streamliner's sonic power is harnessed and shaped by the traditional control layout - neck and bridge pickup volume controls, a master tone control, master volume control and three-way pickup switching. The addition of a push/pull pot on the master volume control allows coil-splitting to provide useful single coil sounds, adding another layer of tonal versatility to an already strong sonic arsenal.
