Fender American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster Deluxe 6-String Electric Guitar (Mocha)
The Fender American Vintage II series presents a remarkably accurate take on the revolutionary designs that altered the course of musical history. Built with period-accurate bodies, necks and hardware, premium finishes and meticulously voiced, year-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone.
Telecaster’s History
Initially introduced in 1972 and billed as the top model in the Telecaster family, The Telecaster Deluxe holds the distinction of being Fender’s first solid-body Telecaster with two humbucking pickups. Like the original, the American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster Deluxe sports a large Stratocaster-style headstock, comfort-contoured belly cut, and pair of Wide Range humbucking pickups mounted to an elongated pickguard with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way toggle located on the upper bout. To create authentic Wide-Range humbucking pickups, resurrected CuNiFe magnets, which had been out of production since 1981, an essential element in recreating the sonics of the original.
Exceptional Features
Featuring a ‘75 C-shape hard rock maple neck, the American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster Deluxe plays like a dream with a 9.5-inch radius maple fingerboard and medium jumbo frets. Characteristic of production in 1975, this Telecaster is outfitted with a convenient Bullet style truss rod nut, and three-bolt neck plate with a Micro-Tilt mechanism and is offered in Black, Mocha Brown, or 3-Color Sunburst over an alder body. Other features include a 6-Saddle hardtail bridge with stainless steel block saddles and vintage-accurate Tele Deluxe tuners. The instruments in the American Vintage II series are direct descendants of the original Fenders: designed for players with a fine appreciation for vintage Fender tone and feel and built with unmatched quality, down to the last screw. These are Fender electrics in their purest form: Fender American Vintage II, the stuff of legends.
Alder Body
Alder has a well-balanced tone with beefy mids and a robust low-end.
9.5-Inch Radius Maple Fingerboard
The 9.5-inch radius fingerboard provides the comfortable playing feel of a vintage instrument, while medium-jumbo frets make it easier to bend notes without fretting out.
1975 C-Shape Neck
In vintage years, the shape and thickness of Fender guitar necks varied tremendously. The American Vintage II Series offers a variety of authentic neck profiles from Fender’s past.
Authentic CuNife Wide-Range Humbucking Pickups
To create an authentic CuNiFe Wide-Range humbucking pickup, resurrected an alloy that had ceased production for four decades and tooled up to produce authentic threaded CuNiFe magnets, an essential element in recreating the sonics of the original. These pickups produce tones that retain the clarity and snap of Fender’s single coils, while also boasting much higher output and thicker timbres.
Vintage-Style Hardware
From the bridge to the string tree and tuning machines, every piece of American Vintage II hardware is manufactured to look, sound, and function just like it did on the originals. Much of the American Vintage II hardware is still manufactured on the original ‘50s and ‘60s era Fender factory machines.
