Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As we move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest, and the planet.

With the Organic Pro Collection years in the making, Breedlove owner Tom Bedell literally climbed a mountain to be positive that the exotic FSC-certified tonewoods used in the assortment are harvested in responsible ways that respect the earth while providing for superior tone that will last a lifetime. High in the windblown Swiss Alps, Bedell watched as European spruce trees were individually selected—each yielding many dozens of top sets—with an eye towards keeping the old-growth stands robust for decades to come.

String winding equipment is designed and built by the D'Addario's engineering team, guaranteeing a production range of 500000 to 800000 strings per day, Digitally- controlled string winding machines ensure productivity, accuracy, and consistency.

Wine Drawing

The D’Addario's in-house wire drawing machines produce musical instrument wire to the exact specifications. Control over materials equipment, and quality allow delivering high performance products.

Fusion Twist Feature

The fusion twist feature prevents slack in the twist from detuning the string. This ensures maximum tuning stability and higher break strength for the premium plain steel strings.
